At the railway crossing
John and Hussain
Negotiating the wire bridge
Across the Allt a' Chonais
A day of showers and drizzly rain
Bealach Bhearnais on the left and Sgùrr Choinnich on the right
We're nearing the true summit of Beinn Tharsuinn
Misy, rainy, yet exhilarating
Dreamy landscapes
Loch Monar
Only three minutes later, more fog, more dreaminess...
Seen from the summit of Beinn Tharsuinn
The foot of Sgùrr Choinnich
Back in the baelach after descending Beinn Tharsuinn
Hugo sitting on the summit cairn of Sgùrr an Feartaig
Hugo and Hussain climbed this mountain on out way back, whilst John headed back to the car along the glen
The veils lift - we see Sgùrr nan Ceannaichean appearing
We had quickly lost our orientation in the fog so needed to take bearings with map and compass. The lifting of the clouds was a relief.
Munros on the opposite side of Glen Carron
Rainbow blessing a top
Sgùrr nan Ceannaichean
As if the mountains are waking up from a slumber
Sgùrr a Chaorachain and Sgùrr Choinnich
Fuar Tholl and Beinn Liath Mhòr in the distance
Display of sun rays and rain
Craig can be seen in the glen
A wire-and-planks bridge cleverly fixed to a twin tree
You use this bridge at your own risk
Actually nothing challenging. After all, we live our own life at our own risk...
