Stob Dearg with the SMC bothy in front
Coire na Tulaich
I walked up the dry river bed, hopping from stone to stone
Getting nearer to the bealach
The bit of scree at the top is easy to negotiate
My car a tiny red speck on the road
Stob Dearg, red peak - for obvious reasons
Some ravens sitting on the top
Mamores, Ben Nevis range and Grey Corries
Left to right 12 munros: Mullach nan Coirean, Stob Ban, Sgurr a' Mhaim, Am Bodach, Stob Coire a' Chairn, An Gearanach - behind Ben Nevis and Carn Mor Dearg - Na Gruagaichean, Binnein Mor, Binnein Beag and Sgurr Eilde Mor.
Buachaille Etive Beag and Aonach Eagach alongside Glen Coe
Rannoch Moor in the distance
Schiehallion visible midway on the horizon

A drop of 200m
I had been descending from 1011m to about 810m
Finally water!
Because of the long draught all higher streams had dried up. Descending Coire Altruim I finally found this treacle of water at 500m and drank ½ litre!
Narrow path between two burns
On either side a drop of about 5m, difficult to see on a 2D picture
