Morning on the Glen Nevis camping
I used my Brompton to cycle to the start of the walk at the Lower Falls
Ben Nevis with a cloudy hat
Gazing back along the track
A charming old birch tree at the end of the wooded part
The same tree 42 years ago!
In 1980 I hiked up the same glen with my friend Tony
A ewe undaunted either by the mist or my person
Ascending Stob Ban from the ridge
Another 250m higher
Do I see the bulk of the mountain... or not?
Finally the summit cairn came in view
Not much to see
I used my wonderful new stove to make myself tea and enjoyed the stillness, solitude and surprisingly mild temperature
Descending I noticed the sun sometimes unsuccessfully tried to chase the clouds away
