The Beinn Dearg massive beyond Loch Glascarnoch
Picture taken during break while travelling
I had planned to walk Beinn Ghobhaich, but the road was so icy the Berlingo didn't manage to make it uphill, so we turned back
A few of us inspecting the road, to no avail
I decided to walk Sail Mhòr (big heel) instead
Because of the delay and the deep snow we only made it to the foot of this low mountain
A running and a frozen waterfall in Allt Airdeasaidh
The burn squeezed itself through this narrow gorge
Surveying the foot of Sail Mhòr (big heel)
Little Loch Broom and the Minch beyond
Beinn Ghioblaich on the right
Ice-jellyfishes in the burn
Beinn Ghioblaich on the other side of Little Loch Broom
Slowly trudging through deep snow
The foothills of An Teallach
Frozen beauty
Deep gorge seen from above
The real impression of this gorge doesn't come across on this picture
Paulo and Rudolf decided to stay on the east side of Allt Airdeasaidh
One of the many other waterfalls
Good-bye Sail Mhòr
After trudging up through the snow for more than three hours, we decided to go down again, letting go of the summit we would never reach in time anyway

Frozen waterfall
The water seeps through in limited places though
